Ice Tea Too Has Returned, June 15

Also leaving Boat Harbour on June 15, headed back to Old Port Cove, were Best Bet, Linda Lu, and In the Mood. Conquest went South to Harbour Island. The following pictures depict the beautiful crossing, showing calm winds and flat seas.

Ice Tea Too Adventure, June 9

First, we did some bottom-fishing outside of North Bar -- Joyce, Jack, Bernie, Lois, Frank and Betty. Lois and Frank got cut off by big fish, then Betty caught a 25 lb. blackfin tuna, but unfortunately lost it right at the boat.

Enough of that, we decide to go to Hope Town.

June 3, A Great Day of Fishing

We already had one dolphin in the box when Frank spotted a buoy ahead. It was actually a long-line marker with a reflector. We caught one dolphin and three wahoo here, and then left the buoy since that was enough for us. The picture shows Grand Slam trolling by the marker. (Gil had called Jersey John over and they caught fish there, too.)

We trolled out deeper and caught one more dolphin. Then Capt. Gil trolled back inshore, and a big blue marlin hit the black super chugger. Frank fought the fish for about 20 minutes, and the marlin pulled the hook. Jersey John radioed that they enjoyed the show. The fish was jumping while Betty was clearing the lines, so she did not get a picture of the fish.

This is the catch of the day.

Fishermen use naked ballyhoo for bait. Would a naked green machine work? The wahoo stripped off the skirt of this lure, destroyed another lure, and messed up the leaders of three others. Gil will have something to do when he wakes up early in the morning.
